On May 26th, 2012, our Killeen BSMC Chapter is proud to host our states 1st Annual Field
Meet & BBQ Cook Off.  We have done everything possible to make this an affordable, fun filled
day of food and fellowship.  Our Killeen Chapter will have Texas Sized BBQ plates available
for a $10.00 Donation, consisting of Smoked Pork Roast, Potato Salad, Baked Beans and cake
along with a cold drink. Please come out and enjoy some Central Texas Southern Hospitality
that's second to none.  Should you care to make this a long weekend road trip, there are
numerous things to do here in Central Texas and we will be more than happy to point you in
the right direction, should your heart desire.

Any BSMC chapter and/or teams wishing to participate in the BBQ Cook Off, the contest rules
are as follows:
1.    All Cook Off participants and/or teams must preregister with Radar no later than 10pm
CST on May 21st, 2012.
2.    BBQ Cook Off is open to BSMC Members only (or any combination of combined BSMC
Chapters within our frontier)
3.    All meats must be presented to one of the judges prior to cook off times and must be raw
and unseasoned.
4.    Start time:  No earlier than 10am - Judging Time 5pm Sharp - NO EXCEPTIONS
5.    ONLY hard wood and/or charcoal allowed (No Propane)
6.    Participants must submit 1full slab of ribs (pork or beef) along with 1 whole chicken
(quartered or half) to judges, no later than 5pm sharp - No Exceptions.
7.    1st, 2nd and 3rd place trophies awarded and recipients can enjoy bragging rights within
our Central Frontier until the next Annual Event the following year.

We have secured a block of rooms at the Super 8 Hotel in Harker Heights for $49.99 plus tax
for Saturday night for a double or single room. If interested please mention Buffalo Soldiers
